The Fear Line
I don’t know who you are, but I know you are afraid of something.
That fear might be abstract like the though of public speaking or physical like the spider on your shoulder (yikes!), but the feeling of fearĀ is real.
I’ve had my fair share of fears, didn’t conquer them all (yet), but I’ll continue facing them.
Here are some of my results of facing my fears:
- Bungee jumped off a cliff (didn’t think I’d survived that one)
- Rode one of the oldest and highest wooden roller coaster in Texas
- Able to talk to strangers (if there’s a need)
- Hold large snakes on my shoulders (but still scared of other animals)
- Public speaking (still gives me butterflies thinking about it)
- Appear confident in job interviews (harder than it looks)
- Write emails to people I look up to (some replied, some didn’t)
- Flew as a doctor and co-pilot (though I’m not licensed) of a medevac
- Quit a few doctor jobs (despite the possible upside)
- Failed a major board exam (an expensive lesson there)
That is just a few list of things that I have done.
As you can see, not all are wins. But you gotta know face your fears and keep moving forward.
And why the picture of David with a bubblegum?
Because it shows a person who is a professional and live a fun life.
I want to embody that.

So, where do you go from here with your fears?
I want you go through this exercise with me. I got this from Tim Ferris about Fear Setting.
